The Idea
Once a year, Miami turns orange.
Inspired by the extraordinary participatory canal culture of Amsterdam's King's Day, MIAMI (ORANGE)™ will create a signature Miami celebration centered on the Miami River.
Hundreds of small boats filled with people dressed in orange move together through the heart of Downtown Miami and Brickell, surrounded by spectators along the river, restaurants, bridges, balconies and waterfront destinations.
The public doesn't simply watch.
They become part of the spectacle.
One day. One color. One river.
One unmistakable image of Miami.
On the Water
MIAMI (ORANGE)™ is deliberately built around small recreational boats rather than large yachts, creating the density, energy and participation that make Amsterdam's canals extraordinary.

The City Turns Orange
The boats create the defining image, but MIAMI (ORANGE)™ extends beyond the water.
- Spectators wear orange.
- Waterfront restaurants turn orange.
- Hotels turn orange.
- Riverwalks turn orange.
- Corporate hospitality turns orange.
- Participating businesses turn orange.
- Buildings can illuminate orange.
The instruction couldn't be simpler:
Wear Orange.
Why Miami
Miami already has the ingredients: one of America's strongest boating cultures, year-round waterfront living, an international tourism economy, a major marine industry and one of the world's most recognizable urban waterfront skylines.
What Miami does not have is an annual participatory celebration where the people themselves create the spectacle on the water.
The Miami River provides the stage.
Miami provides the energy.
Orange provides the identity.
The Commercial Platform
MIAMI (ORANGE)™ is envisioned as a free public spectacle supported by premium participation and commercial partnerships, including:
- TITLE & PRESENTING SPONSORSHIPS
- CORPORATE BOATS
- OFFICIAL CHARTER PACKAGES
- WATERFRONT HOSPITALITY
- VIP EXPERIENCES
- MARINE INDUSTRY PARTNERSHIPS
- REGISTERED BOAT PARTICIPATION
- MERCHANDISE
- MEDIA & CONTENT PARTNERSHIPS
The small-boat model allows participants to provide much of the spectacle themselves, creating an event capable of growing dramatically without relying on traditional parade floats or large-scale constructed infrastructure.
The Vision
Amsterdam turns orange.
Now imagine Miami.
Hundreds of small boats.
Thousands of people dressed in orange.
White-clad skippers.
The Miami River.
The Brickell skyline.
Thousands watching from the waterfront.
And one image capable of traveling around the world.
